Happy Almost New Year!  I will not resolve to post more often, ’cause frankly, I don’t expect there to be a need.

BoingBoing is reporting of a new Firefox plugin that filters YouTube comments.  I guess I’m not so alone in my distaste for the idiocy of the comments as previously posted.

I just installed it, and while it’s not perfect, it does work as advertised.  It may not come to anyone’s surprise that it filters out a majority of comments  (based on the few sample videos I visited).

Last Sunday, between stops in a visit to Ypsi’s Depot Town, my beloved wife found a CD lying in the parking lot. I can’t provide a scan, since I don’t have a scanner, but it’s a typical home made CD-R (Memorex brand, if you care) with plenty of markings on the surface.   Most prominently displayed is “PIAVIS”.  There’s other writing and its hard to read, but it’s clear this was written and produced by G. Piavis in 2007.  Of note is that the CD includes a  “song by Eminems[sic] Uncle Todd Nelson” (wow we’re talking!).

On the CD were 6 tracks, of which I’ll review at a later date.   Who is this mysterious G. Piavis?  Does the location of the find hold any clues (perhaps he’s associated with the Ypsilanti All-stars)?  These are questions that I’ve yet to answer.
